Nest, a new stop-motion felted wool videogame by Ken Amarit.
Nest is a competitive, 2v2 local multiplayer game where you control cute, wobbly and wonky felted wool creatures and fight to control all the nests in the sky. Capture a nest by flying into it. Once inside, you'll have to defend it against incoming opponents for 4 seconds before it becomes yours. Win a round by capturing all the nests!
Nest was made by needle felting wool figures that were then stop-motion animated. I dyed all the wool using natural and vegetable dyes.
Currently you can play the arcade cabinet of Nest at Death By Audio in Brooklyn, NYC.
Feel free to follow along as I blog about making Nest. I talk about dyeing, felting, and all the various parts of my process.
